What is Andalusite?

Andalusite or Andalucite, as the name suggests was first found in decent quantities in the region of Andalucia in Spain. Andalucite is highly regarded for its unusual color which is frequently a mixture of both red and green at the same time depending on the angle at which you are looking at it; the stones showing red from one direction and green from another.
