Rare Gemstones

Some gemstones are particularly rare, only being found in one or two mines anywhere in the world. If the stones are particularly pretty, the attractiveness and rarity combine to make these precious stones which command very high values. Size is also important, because larger gemstone crystals are less common in most cases than smaller ones.

Diamonds, Rubys and Sapphires are the best known rare gemstones.
